CONSUMER ADVISORY: Resale Scam Misrepresenting Fidelity National Timeshare

The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and its Resort Owner’s Coalition (ARDA-ROC) have been made aware of fraudulent activity by a group of individuals using the names "Robert Alexander" and "Janet Finklestein" to defraud timeshare owners through improper representation of ARDA staff and Fidelity National Timeshare, a member of ARDA.

Time’s Up for Florida Operation in Timeshare Resale Scheme

Along with being permanently banned from timeshare resale services and telemarketing, the Florida-based operators behind a deceptive timeshare resale scheme have agreed to surrender approximately $3.4 million worth of assets including homes, vehicles, a Rolex watch, silver coins, and a diamond ring to settle the Federal Trade Commission’s charges against them.

SCAM ALERT: Consumers Tell BBB Springfield Timeshare Company, Martin Management Group, Failed to Perform

Better Business Bureau (BBB) is advising consumers to use caution when dealing with the Springfield, Mo.-based Martin Management Group and its business owners Steven Albert Martin and David Lee Martin. Complainants tell BBB the business failed to liquidate their timeshares, scamming them out of thousands of dollars and they have had little contact with the business since signing contracts with the company.
